Things to do in Melbourne in March

So white Night and Chinese New Year festival have finished. But don’t feel down. There are still lots of things to do over the coming month.

Here is just a few of our favourite events in Melbourne in March.

1 – 18 March

Melbourne Fashion Festival.

Experience Australia’s largest celebration of fashion, arts, ideas,

shopping and entertainment. There will be fashion shows in the

streets and many events in shopping malls and department stores.

9 – 12 March


Don’t miss Australia’s largest free community festival, including its

iconic parade.

10 – 11 March

Turkish Bazaar Festival

Discover a bazaar at Queen Victoria Market, where you can experience the amazing tastes, colours and sounds of Turkey. This free event features street food, music, dance and cultural displays.

16 – 18 March

River Graze

Explore this food lover’s paradise on the banks of the Yarra River. Enjoy fine wine, great food and entertainment for the whole family.

16 – 25 March

Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.

From small tasting parties to large scale free events. Intimate dinners, long lunches and hidden laneway parties. More than 250 venues will be holding food focused events.

So you see, Melbourne really comes alive in March. And don’t forget that March 12th and 30th are public holidays.
