Melbourne's Christmas Markets

Updated: Mar 17, 2019

Christmas in Melbourne may not be a winter wonderland, but what we lack in snow we make up for with barbecues, long lunches, seafood and festive lights around the city. During your holiday time there are so many things that you can see and do to keep yourself entertained. Why not shop for handmade presents at the Christmas markets?

KRIS KRINGLE NIGHT MARKET:

Every Thursday until December 21st Northcote Town Hall is hosting a night market until 10pm. Why not drop in to discover local designer fashions, quirky ceramics, plants and food. There’s also a licensed bar.

MARRKIT AT FED SQUARE:

Don’t panic if you haven’t started your Xmas shopping yet. This market is held in the Atrium and Deakin Edge Theatre and features more than 80 designers and artists. You will also find a pop-up bake sale, great donuts and Billy Van Creamy ice-cream.

COLLINS PLACE DESIGN MARKET:

This arty market carefully curates its line-up to showcase the best creatives from Melbourne and Victoria. You will find bohemian style jewellery, hand-made fashions and yummy food like caramel popcorn and gingerbread.

YULE BE RIGHT MARKET:

This fabulous market is returning to Melbourne to offer a range of quality gifts that won’t cost a fortune. It takes place at Brunswick favourite, Lux Foundry.

ROSE STREET ARTIST’S MARKET:

Each Saturday and Sunday this market has some of Melbourne’s most exciting artists and designers seeing their wares and talking about their handmade goods. There is also a warehouse section where you can check out handmade fashions and buy delicious food. Take the opportunity to talk to the artists about their creations – they will be more than happy to have a chat.
